It’s Luke again. How’ve ya been? I’ve been pretty great myself, thanks. Anyway, I figured I should try to write a quick blog post, since the series of ten questions I’ve been wanting to post is overwhelming me. It’s a lot to unpack and I’m just not feeling up to it just yet.
Instead, I want to talk about all the things that I’m excited about lately. I’m excited about moving to Columbus and finally having the opportunity to be in relationships that make me feel passionate and alive. I’m excited to at least socially transition to male and be respected as the gender I feel inside. I’ve already spent some time with one of my old friends in Cbus and it was nice hearing my new name used out loud for the first time. I feel like this is what I’ve been missing all my life. Being Luke is like finding a missing puzzle piece and watching everything start coming together. I’ve imagined old relationships and new ones over the past few weeks with new excitement. If I’d known I was a man sooner, how much happier might I have been?
Also, I quit smoking. I’m vaping now and will slowly be tapering down the nicotine percentage until I get to zero. I’m excited to lead a healthier life, in preparation for my HRT and eventual surgeries (should I decide to medically transition, that is). I’m drinking more water, cut my 12 daily cups of coffee to three, and I’m making more of an effort to eat healthier. It’s taking time to wean myself off junk food, to be honest. I’m excited to start going on three or four mile walks every day when I get back to Columbus, too. My friend, Zach, reminded me how much I love the Rose Garden. ♥
I’m sleeping a lot better. My real estate is revving back up again, too. And my sister, who I love more than words can express, loves me dearly no matter what I decide. My life is perfection. There’s some dark spots in the water, of course, but I’ve decided to ignore them for this blog post. Things are going well and I’m happy to have air in my lungs for the first time in a long time.
That’s it for this update, everyone. Stay safe and stay sexy. Also, buy my book. 🤣
