What the Hell Is the Purpose of Hell?

If you’re taking the traditional path to publish your novel, you’ve probably revised it beyond recognition before querying. You might think, as you send it off to the editor, that the next revision will be the last.

It won’t.

When you send it out to an agent who decides to accept it and rep you, they’re gonna ask you for a revision, too. And then when they send it to an editor who wants to pick it up? Another revision.

And when it’s published and “perfect”? You’ll find a typo.

Revisions never end. Welcome to hell.
